Once the image is into your computer you can use simple tools like PICASA to adjust the light and sharpness and help your diagnosis.

Try these little tricks:

By forcing maximum contrast, the image may show  like above the colorette is very bright and the surrounding fibers as well     This could indicate high nerve energy and acidity in the body, determine character?  Also the breaks in the Collorette are now clearly visable.

If you  have a look at the next picture with full light you can see the darkest areas of the iris clearly i.e. the circulatory area so the circulation may     not be as good as it should be.

Picasa can also help with sharpening and balancing  the images that you have taken with the EyeSpy.
